MORE WAYS TO GIVE
We are pleased to make several different ways available for you to support La Clínica del Pueblo and help make health a human right for all. Learn more below. If you have questions or would like to discuss giving options, please contact Brenda Barron at (202) 953-0941 or bbarron@lcdp.org.
WORKPLACE GIFTS + COMPANY MATCHING
La Clínica del Pueblo is a participant of the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC); simply enter #49311 on your pledge card during your fund drive and return it to your campaign coordinator. We are also active participants in the United Way Campaign #8819.
Additionally, many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match any charitable contributions or volunteer hours made by their employees, retirees and/or employees’ spouses. Any gift such as an online contribution, your year-end giving total, tickets to our events and/or registration fees – all can potentially be matched.
Check with your HR office to inquire about your company’s charity matching policies or click here to check if your company matches. We are more than happy to assist with any paperwork to facilitate a match.
DONOR ADVISED FUNDS
You can immediately recommend a grant/contribution from your Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) that helps fuel La Clínica’s work to create a healthier, more just community. Putting money into your DAF gets you an immediate tax deduction, and enables you to give to the charities of your choice now or into the future.
Work with your Financial Advisor to devise the best giving plan for you. La Clínica will ensure that your gift is put to good use for the benefit of those most in need.

GIVE FROM YOUR IRA
You can make a charitable distribution for your IRA that has an immediate impact for La Clínica and reduces your taxable income. How does it work?
You must be 70 ½ or older.
You may transfer up to $100,000 per year.
Your gift must be transferred directly from your IRA account to La Clínica.
Your gift is a transfer of funds from your IRA to La Clínica del Pueblo , so while you do not receive a charitable deduction, it does not create taxable income for you.
If you are 73 and older, the transfer of funds counts towards your annual Required Minimum Distribution from your IRA.

GIFT OF STOCK
Donating appreciated stock is one of the fastest, easiest and most impactful ways to give to La Clínica. Because these gifts are tax-deductible, their value is often higher than other types of gifts.

PLANNED GIVING + BEQUESTS
Through your will, trust, or by beneficiary designation, you can create a legacy that supports the health and well being of our region’s most vulnerable groups and secure a future where all community members can thrive. Charitable bequests may help reduce your state and federal estate taxes. If you are interested in updating your will or adding La Clínica as a beneficiary, please consult with your attorney.
The following language may be helpful to your attorney in drafting a bequest:
Tax ID# 52-1942551
Bequest Language:
I give to La Clínica del Pueblo, a 501c3 based in the DC Metropolitan Area with its main office at 2831 15th St NW, Washington DC, 20009, (the sum of $ ___ ) (all or ___ % of my estate) to be used for its general purposes (or in accordance with your particular interest).
You can also name La Clínica as a primary life insurance beneficiary or as a contingent beneficiary should your other beneficiaries not survive you. If your family members no longer require the protection of your insurance policy, you can name La Clínica as your beneficiary and protect the health of Latinx immigrants and their families. You can contact your insurance carrier to help you easily adjust your beneficiary designation.
