La Clínica's Health Equity department continues participating in coalitions to influence policy makers on expanding the Access to Care Act

(ACA) for over 275,000 undocumented immigrants in Maryland. The ACA opens up the Maryland Health Benefit Exchange to Maryland residents, regardless of their immigration status. Health Equity staff members have advocated for ACA by participating in testimonies, disseminating advocacy messages through social media campaigns, sending letters to policy makers, and attending rallies.
